Message from Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection.

Thanks to all who submitted applications under Connecticut’s Diesel Emissions Mitigation Program and we appreciate your efforts to reduce diesel emissions in Connecticut!

On July 31, 2018, the application deadline for the first round of funding under this program closed. DEEP received 56 grant applications, 30 of which are from government entities. Applicants requested over $32 million of funding to reduce diesel emissions under this program with total investments exceeding $77 million.

To date, DEEP has completed the review of approximately 85% of the applications received.  If you submitted a grant application and have been contacted by DEEP staff to provide additional information, please respond to their request as soon as possible to expedite the review of your application.

Provided all required data is received in a timely manner, DEEP intends to announce awards in October.

Several inquiries requested information on when the next round of funding will be announced.  As DEEP is still actively reviewing applications under the current round, the design process for the next round of funding will not begin until DEEP has completed reviewing applications under the current round.  Our goal is to announce a new round of funding in early 2019.  Be aware that program conditions and forms for any new round of funding may differ from the first round.
