MTAC recently announced the addition of a Capitol Reporters Panel to the MTAC Annual Meeting. MTAC is pleased to announce the addition of Susan Haigh of the Associated Press to the panel.

Sue is the political writer and statehouse reporter for The Associated Press in Hartford, Connecticut, where she has worked since June 2002. She previously covered the state capitol for two Connecticut newspapers, the Day of New London and the Norwich Bulletin. Between the AP and the newspapers, she has covered more than two dozen regular legislative sessions. Prior to working at the capitol, Sue covered the education, municipal government and police/fire beats at the Norwich Bulletin.

Sue earned a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Wheaton College in Norton, Mass., where she was editor of the school’s weekly newspaper. She later earned a master’s degree in public policy from Trinity College in Hartford, Conn. She’s a recent fellow of the New England First Amendment Institute for investigative journalism.

Sue will join Ken Dixon from Hearst Connecticut media, and Chris Powell from the Journal Inquirer on the Capitol Reporters Panel at the MTAC annual meeting.
