Ned Lamont chose the new train station in Meriden, along the new New Haven to Hartford to Springfield line, to announce his plans to expand the service, increase connections to Bradley Airport and install WiFi service on all the trains.

Lamont says the plan will attract millennials and make improvements to Shoreline East and the Waterbury line along with other highway grid lock relieving improvements.

Lamont saying, “This should be priority number one for the next Governor in the state of Connecticut.”

Lamont says his plan to impose electronic highway tolls on out of state trucks will generate $100 million dollars a year.

That can be leveraged for even more federal highway money adding, “Paying for fixing our roads and our bridges and more frequent and regular rail service with electronic tolling on our biggest tractor trailer trucks.”

His running mate, Susan Bysiewicz saying, “I would say that we are running a multi state charity for out of state vehicles, especially trucks that are decimating our roadways.”
