Late last week, MTAC President Joe Sculley, along with MTAC Board member Helen Brooks, attended the grand opening of FedEx’s new facility in Middletown, CT.

FedEx Ground puts its combination of facilities on the site at 600,000 square feet. City hall records say the property is 204.84 acres, and the company purchased the property from Aetna in 2016 for $18 million.
More than 650 employees will work at the center, with 200 extra staff expected for the busy holiday season.
Company officials said at a groundbreaking in 2016 that the project was a $220 million investment for FedEx.
