Expect I-95 closures between Old Lyme and East Lyme through April 22

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that construction activities related to the replacement of the Society Road bridge over I-95, between Old Lyme and East Lyme is expected to cause significant delays. The work is tentatively scheduled to occur during the following periods; Monday, April 4 through Friday April 8, 2016, and if needed Monday, April 11 through Friday April 15, 2016.

Update: Due to inclement weather, the DOT is anticipating work requiring a detour to roll into an additional week.  Closures are now expected the week of Monday, April 18 through Friday April 22, 2016

There will be closures of I-95 in between the hours of 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. on the aforementioned dates. Please be advised a marked detour will be in place but some delays are to be expected. CT DOT is requesting that those who can avoid this area to do so.
