Registration for the 2017 Truck Driving Championship (TDC) is now open! Drivers or their safety managers can visit the MTAC TDC website section sign up and download the forms necessary to complete their registration. Once the registration has been received, a copy of the Rules for Drivers will be sent directly to them. This year’s event will be on Saturday, June 10 at FedEx Freight, located at 130 Old County Circle in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. MTAC thanks FedEx for use of this great facility.
This year, in order to expand participation, MTAC’s TDC Committee approved a rule change. There will now be no limit on the number of qualified drivers from any company or terminal who can participate. All qualified drivers are welcome!
Drivers and their employers should be sure to review the eligibility requirements for this year’s competition. Perhaps most importantly, drivers must be employed by a MTAC member in good standing, and must be accident-free since the date of last year’s National Championship (August 13, 2016).
Driver roll call is set for 7:30 a.m. sharp!
This is a family-friendly event, so MTAC encourages drivers to bring their family and friends to this event. The Truck Driving Championship will be followed by an awards ceremony and barbecue from Bear’s Barbecue.
