From National Tank Truck Carriers.

The Liquid Products Database (LPD) is a program designed to help mitigate corrosion risk for stainless steel chemical trailers.  NTTC partnered with engineers at Battelle Memorial Institute to build an online database that informs fleet managers about the corrosivity of individual liquid chemicals on stainless steel tank trailers. Trailer corrosion is an increasingly expensive, systemic problem for the tank truck industry.  The LPD’s information comes from proprietary databases licensed by NTTC and Batelle and is supplemented with the results of laboratory testing performed on product samples requested by LPD member companies.  NTTC also actively solicits shipper involvement to place their products into the LPD.

In this webinar, John Cannon of trailer manufacturer Wabash National and Douglas Pape of Battelle will discuss the origins of the LPD, how it works, why signing up can help carriers more accurately issue price quotes to shippers and, ultimately, save wear and tear on your rolling stock.  The LPD is open to NTTC member companies and non-members alike.  To learn more about the LPD or to download an access agreement, visit our LPD website.
