The Connecticut Department of Transportation had recently announced that it would be switching to a new, online permitting system for oversize/overweight vehicle permits. The new web-based system will ultimately be more user friendly, more versatile and is compatible across many online platforms.
Unfortunately, the change over to the new system has been delayed. As of 2 pm on Sept. 21, the “old” system is back up and running.
MTAC will continue to work with CT DOT on this process. Members will be notified prior to the new system being implemented. A new date for this change has not yet been determined.
